Back Me
3 Glass Mountain (Bet Now: $9.50) is either a camel or the Blinkers will sharpen her right. Thought she was okay late fresh here before going to Mornington where she was keen early and didn’t fire a shot late in the piece behind Hanmer Springs. Blinkers on and Ben Melham booked to ride signals a fair level of intent and the stable wouldn’t persist if she wasn’t going any good.
Danger
1 Alaskan Storm (Bet Now: $3.70) is racing well for Team Feek but is finding it very hard to greet the judge first. She ran at Mornington last time where he had every chance on speed but was under pressure before the turn and whacked. Looked the winner but when Reo got clear, it attacked the line and got the win, just. Honest, should be around the mark…just not sure I could back her to win with confidence.
Long Shot
7 Tempestarii (Bet Now: $11.00) is racing like the mile will be ideal. She ran fifth in the Reo race mentioned above that Alaskan Storm ran second in. This mare got a fair way out of her ground and was never a threat but didn’t mind the way she finished her race off. Racing like 1600m suits and from the draw, she can settle much closer in the run. Definite winning chance.

Back Me
1 All Sassed Up (Bet Now: $1.90), if she runs up to her best, is a genuine $1.50 chance. Thought she was a near good thing when resuming at Sandown but it was a very warm day and she ran her race in the yard, getting all hot and bothered, so forget she went around. Jumped out super leading into that so fitter and up to 1200m, she has plenty on these.
Danger
2 Charlotting (Bet Now: $8.50) is the filly to beat if the fav is off her game. This girl debuts for Jerome Hunter and I thought her jumpout at Mornington a few weeks ago was a lovely piece of work. Near the speed throughout and when she was clicked up, she went through her gears nicely and seemingly had plenty in reserve. Maps to do no work and stable is having a good run at the moment.
Long Shot
8 St Malo (Bet Now: $17.00) is dangerous if the inside gate is used to advantage. Daughter of Frosted that debuted over 1100m at Benalla where she got a fair way out of her ground and was never really a threat but didn’t mind the way she finished her race off when fourth to impressive winner Aperol Blitz. Might want further than 1200m but she’ll be strong at the end.

Back Me
5 Any Zouwilldo (Bet Now: $2.60) looks ready to rock and roll. Team Keys trained three year old that resumes, having not raced since his debut back in September at The Valley when back and was never a winning factor but was a real eye catcher late when fourth to Everglade. He’s been gelded and went sharp in a recent jumpout win here. Drawn tricky, but L Meech on, he slides forward and proves hard to run down.
Danger
9 Irish Crickets (Bet Now: $2.30) commands respect. This Matt Laurie three year old was met with good market support when debuting at Moe. He was near the speed throughout and tried to finish the race off but couldn’t quite get there when third to Gold Revolver, beaten just under a length. Melham booked and better for the run under the belt, I think he’s the key and only threat.
Long Shot
1 Foxhow (Bet Now: $11.00) is a son of Kermadec for Clinton McDonald that resumes. He returns to racing as a gelding, having raced twice as a colt during the Summer of 2021 where he was solid each time in good form races. He jumped out here last week and ran second, pushed out but responded well. The key, and perhaps negative, is that Melham rode him in that jumpout and he goes with Irish Crickets.

Back Me
7 Titan Of Choice (Bet Now: $5.00) on top. He resumed over 1200m at Mornington where he got badly held up behind tired horses and the race was over for him 500m out. When clear, he wanted to lay in so he didn’t help his cause either. Bubble Cheeker on the near side goes on to sharpen him up, keep him straight, and that race rated pretty well. With luck from the inside gate, he’ll take holding out.
Danger
2 Red Phantom (Bet Now: $4.20) is a Nick Ryan trained gelding that resumes. He hasn’t raced since October 1 at Murtoa when attempting to lead throughout and gave a solid kick but couldn’t quite finish it off when down the track, somewhat of an end of prep run. Couple of jumpouts to get ready for the return and this stable can get them ready to fire fresh, so watch the market.
Long Shot
1 Fiery Red (Bet Now: $9.50) is an interesting runner. Formerly with GaiBott, he now finds himself with Kane Harris. Dating back to November, he’s had four jumpouts to get ready, and the latest jumpout, he looked like a donkey, but when trained by GaiBott, he could trial like that on occasion. His best sees him win this, comfortably. Market and yard watch for sure.

5 Hillcrest Moses (Bet Now: $5.00) looks the one they have to beat. Matt Laurie trained gelding that ran at Geelong last time out where he got a mile out of his ground but loved the way he found the line late when third to Legionnaire. Albeit it was a 58, it was a deep 58 and much stronger than what he faces here. If he can settle closer in the run, he’ll take beating against this moderate bunch.
Danger
2 Alphaville (Bet Now: $2.50) comes here as a last start winner and commands respect. Excellent effort two back at Geelong before proving that was no fluke at Mornington last time in a thin 58 where he gave them a start and a beating, spanking his rivals and got better as the race went on. That was 1500m so back to 1400m, I think, will be fine, provided he rolls forward and makes it a truly run 1400m.
Long Shot
Market will be interesting with 1 Diasonic (Bet Now: $7.00), who resumes for Richard Laming. He hasn’t raced since October 8 over 1700m at the Gold Coast when a game second to Daring Man, ending a consistent but frustrating prep. Thought he jumped out pretty well here behind I’m Thunderstruck, and he can sprint well fresh, so watch the market, especially with this stable.

Back Me
I’m really keen on 2 Queen Adele (Bet Now: $6.00) for Cindy Alderson. On the quick back up after racing at Mornington on Sunday…well I say raced, but it was a barrier trial. Little luck at the right time and Melham wasn’t exactly wanting to get clear air. To me, it was a prep run for this, so I think Melham will be positive from the outset, land on speed, and up to the mile, she’ll take beating.
Danger
7 Heavenly Eagle (Bet Now: $5.00) is capable with his best. He has been kept on the fresh side, over a month between runs since racing over the mile at The Valley where he had zero luck when Williams wanted to get clear and it was an ugly watch if you were on behind Regal Azmon. Drawn out so should get clear air this time around and for mine, is the only threat, if any.
Long Shot
4 Nakedness (Bet Now: $10.00) has done little wrong in a two start career for John McArdle. Didn’t do a bad job on debut at Yarra Valley before stepping up to 1500m at Mornington where he was ridden positively from the outset and was strong to the line in winning after being under pressure a fair way out. He’ll run the mile out…fast enough is another matter. First four threat.

Back Me
7 Mr I’m A Believer (Bet Now: $2.70) is the one on the up and will eat up 2025m. He would have been a tragedy beaten had he not won fresh at Geelong but thankfully he managed to get clear and drove hard late to win and win impressively. Off that, the rise in trip will be fine, he’ll land on speed and with enormous upside for an in form camp, it could be a case of good luck beating him.
Danger
5 Zoutellus (Bet Now: $6.50) has the 2000m run under the belt now so that should hold him in good stead for this. That run came at this track where he was on speed but I thought Ben Allen rode him too warm, putting the pressure on too early in the race and although fought hard, was left a sitting shot and nabbed late by Ancient Egypt. Melham is a big upgrade and is the main threat.
Long Shot
2 Secret Sheema (Bet Now: $14.00) has good upside and has a real liking for the track. She resumed over the mile at Benalla where she got a fair way out of her ground but made a sustained run and loomed. Just couldn’t quite see it through, tiring late to finish fourth but the run was still full of merit. Maps to do work and will be strong at the end.
* Above offers may only be available to select customers.
Back Me
5 Mrs Chrissie (Bet Now: $2.25) to resume a winner in the get out. Maher/Eustace trained filly that resumes after a two run prep in the Winter where she ran in town but didn’t fire on wet ground. Given a good break and has jumped out really well here in readiness for her return. Tricky gate, but should slide forward and this race is lacking depth.
Danger
8 The Swooper (Bet Now: $4.80) is a Team Hawkes three year old that resumes and is a fascinating runner. He hasn’t raced since Boxing Day 20221 at Caulfield when far from disgraced in defeat behind Jacquinot, and we know what he has done since. Stuck on well in a Flemington jumpout alongside Gentleman Roy last Friday, and his form is A1. Watch the market and see what it does.
Long Shot
6 Invincibilus (Bet Now: $16.00) will get back and be strong late. She hasn’t been too bad for Team Hayes in a couple of runs this time in, the latest coming at The Valley where she was near last in the run and was good late in the piece without threatening behind Boss Lady Rocks. Has a poor racing pattern but if she’s within range, she’s good enough to threaten.
