EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – The OVC has announced the first golfers of the week today.
After his performance at SIUE’s Dolenc Tournament, Junior Brady Kaufmann (Jacksonville, Ill.) receives Ohio Valley Conference Player of the week.
Kaufmann finished second out of 99 competitors at the Dolenc Invitational, an event that included seven total OVC teams. The junior carded rounds of 68-68-67 to finish at 203 (-10), which was three shots behind the medalist. It marked his eighth top-10 finish of his career and he set a new school record for career rounds in the 60s. His play helped SIUE finish first out of 18 teams, winning the team title by four shots.
