YES App to stream two live BBL games per week each Thursday and Friday
Games will be available on the YES App to subscribers in YES’ regional footprint, including all of New York state and Connecticut, northern and central New Jersey, and northeastern Pennsylvania
Fans can watch replays of select games on the YES Network’s linear channel on Thursday or Friday in primetime
BBL’s new ‘Unbeatable’ magazine show to also air on YES Network and Yes App
Live coverage began with Leicester Riders versus London Lions on 1st December
The deal secures further exposure for the BBL in the US, with the YES Network, which is co-owned by Major League Baseball’s (MLB) New York Yankees, the most-watched RSN in the country for 18 of the past 20 years.
In October, the BBL struck a broadcast deal with four of NBC Sports’ RSNs covering the Bay Area, California, Chicago and Philadelphia.
“We’re very excited about our partnership with the YES Network, the most-watched regional sports network in the US, to bring our league into the homes of the New York tri-state area,” said BBL chief executive Aaron Radin.
“This announcement marks a major milestone for our league, signifying our continuing growth and ambitions.
“We are committed to delivering high-quality sports entertainment to the YES Network’s viewers to build an audience with new overseas fans.”
The next game to stream on the YES App is the Manchester Giants versus the Surrey Scorchers on 7th December.
