FENDI is getting ready for a sports-filled summer with the release of its new FENDI Active: Basketball Capsule. The limited collection dedicates the Summer 2023 to activewear, and in particular the sport of basketball. Releasing just in time for tail end of the NBA season, the collection pays homage to the year-round sport, giving the athletic gear the classic FENDI makeover.
Each of the pieces features signature house codes from the Italian house. The FENDI Roma and FF logos are transformed into varsity lettering as another nod to the sports aesthetic. The collection focuses on athletic ready-to-wear and sees the new signature motifs emblazoned throughout the gear including basketball t-shirts, tank tops, jerseys and shorts. Arriving in a simple black and grey palette, the FENDI Roma ribbed edging gives pieces the extra sporty detail. Those looking for a grey ensemble will find them in the tracksuit as well as the varsity lightweight bomber jacket that feature black piping and a tonal FF logo pattern.
The collection also features footwear, specifically the FENDI Match high-top sneakers in the classic black and cream color combination or in an exclusive all-white crystal-embellished design. Continuing the sports theme, this FENDI collection also includes wristbands, headbands and socks as well as accessories like a black baseball hat to go along with a FENDI-branded basketball in collaboration with Spalding. The ball also comes with a branded shoulder strap holder and a see-through basketball hoop with the FENDI Roma varsity lettering displayed.
The FENDI Active: Basketball Capsule is now available in select boutiques worldwide and online at FENDI
