He signed with the Panthers in May, but Carolina placed the 28-year-old on the reserve/retired list on Tuesday.
His best season came in 2021 when he rushed 119 times for 749 yards and six touchdowns. In total, he ran for 1,951 yards and 13 touchdowns in 45 NFL games.
To fill his roster spot, the Panthers signed wide receiver Tayvion Robinson. An undrafted rookie from Kentucky, he was in Ravens camp earlier this spring.
