Gunfire erupted at the River Square Plaza shopping center in Hueytown Tuesday night, wounding two people including a juvenile.
The shooting happened about 8:45 p.m.
Hueytown police and fire medics responded to the shopping center and arrived to find the two victims injured. An adult male was wounded in addition to the juvenile.
No additional details about the victim’s identifies have been released.
Both victims were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police said investigators believe the victims were there to meet someone. They did not elaborate, but the shooting wasn’t random, and the victims knew the shooter.
No arrests have been announced.
