MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The Links at Audubon in East Memphis is slated to reopen this week.
Monday, children from around the Bluff City hit the first shots at the course, which has been under renovation for two years.
The project added a six-hole short course, a brand new driving range, and a redesigned and expanded 18-hole course to the city’s golf offerings.
Architect Bill Bergin made it manageable for everyone no matter their experience level.
Parks Director Nick Walker says the renovations were needed.
“It is about quality of life,” he said. “Every time that we invest in our parks, our pools, our community centers, and even our golf courses, we are investing in ourselves and we are investing in our future.”
Officials say more than 140,000 rounds of golf are expected to be played at all the city courses this summer.
You can book tee times at the Links at Audubon online only beginning Thursday.
