WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Minnesota State men’s golf began the 2024-25 campaign in 10th place through two rounds at The Mule in Warrensburg, Missouri after shooting 27-over par 560. The two-day event concludes at Mule National Golf Course on Tuesday.
On the par 70 course, the Mavericks shot 290 (+10) in round one, then carded 297 (+17) in round two Monday afternoon. Senior Alex Bradley (Lakeville, Minnesota) led the team after shooting 70 (+2) and 73 (+3) for a two round total of 145, good for 28th place.
Freshman Jack Justesen (Hawley, Minnesota) posted scores of 70 (+2) and 77 (+7) for a total of 147. He sits 37th.
“We started out really well, even having to deal with the most difficult holes right away,” said head coach Alex Schmitz. “We just needed to do a better job finishing out the round,” said head coach Alex Schmitz. “We had perfect conditions for golf today. Now we have to go out and execute more consistently tomorrow.”
Central Oklahoma led the 19-team field with a score of 278-284—562 (+2), followed by host Central Missouri 286-282—568 (+8).
The Mavericks begin the final round Tuesday morning.
