BERTHOLD – A 26-year-old Minot Air Force Base man was killed and a Berthold man injured when their vehicle struck a tree in Berthold at a high rate of speed Saturday, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The name of the deceased has not yet been released. The driver of the vehicle, Alexander Swarm, 29, was injured and is charged with driving under the influence.
The Highway Patrol reports Swarm was driving a Dodge Viper southbound on Tyler Street in Berthold about 10:08 p.m., traveling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle ran off the roadway and struck the tree.
The Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
