The Marion County Sheriff’s Department has arrested 55-year-old Mary Travis of the 3500 block of Tonti Road in rural Salem for criminal damage to property after she allegedly set a neighbor’s trampoline on fire. Sheriff’s officials say the fire was part of an on-going dispute between the two. Travis was taken to the Marion County Jail.
Five others remained in jail Sunday following Saturday arrests.
Two were arrested by Centralia Police for retail theft. They are 59-year-old Richard Atchison and 57-year-old Cheryl Peck both of Community Beach Road in Centralia.
Centralia Police arrested 24-year-old Melvin Johnson of Locust Street in Mt. Vernon for violation of bail bond.
42-year-old Michael Poe of Poplar Street in Centralia was arrested by Centralia Police on an outstanding Champaign County warrant. Bond is set at $5,000.
