International fashion retailer Primark announced Thursday, Dec. 5, as the official opening date of its newest location at Queens Center in Elmhurst.

Marking the company’s second location in Queens following the Jamaica branch, which opened at the end of 2022, and its 10th in New York. The new store spans over 37,000 square feet and offers a wide selection of affordable fashion, homewares, and beauty products.

“At Primark, we want as many people as possible to look good and feel good about the fashion and essentials they buy for themselves and their families,” said Kevin Tulip, President of Primark U.S. “Opening this new store in Queens Center Mall will help us deliver our amazing value to more New Yorkers just in time for what we know can be a stressful holiday shopping season. Whether you’re shopping for the latest trends for yourself or checking off a gift list for family and friends, we’ve got you covered, and we can’t wait to welcome the Queens community in our doors starting Dec. 5.”

The Queens Center Mall branch at 90-15 Queens Blvd. will feature Primark’s popular, low-cost items, including denim starting at $10 and tees from $4, alongside licensed collections featuring brands such as Netflix, Disney, and Marvel. The store also offers exclusive sports merchandise for New York Giants, Jets, Knicks, and Nets fans, with items like tees starting at $14.

To celebrate the grand opening, Primark will host an event-packed weekend, including live music from a DJ, local treats, and giveaways available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Primark, founded in 1969 in Ireland, now operates over 450 stores in 17 countries in Europe and the U.S. and employs more than 80,000 colleagues.

In preparation for the opening, Primark is recruiting retail staff for both full- and part-time roles. Positions are available on the Primark Careers website.

Shoppers at Queens Center can browse Primark’s product offerings and check local availability on the retailer’s website, primark.com, where they can also sign up for updates on new product releases, style tips, and store announcements.
