UTTOXETER 1.50

With rain forecast on ground already described as soft, heavy in places, stamina and ability to handle the underfoot conditions are going to be a key factor at Uttoxeter this afternoon. It’s likely to be more testing than ideal for Wetherby winner HITCHING JACKING, the current 9-4 favourite for this 2m4f handicap hurdle, and the top weight who is also up in class could prove vulnerable. Sell in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market. Fixed odds punters might want to consider UP FOR PAROL or RAFFERTY’S RETURN.

Recommendation: Oppose HITCHING JACKING in Uttoxeter 1.50

FONTWELL 2.00

AWAYTHELAD is not certain to appreciate the heavy going at Fontwell today and the 15-8 second favourite can be opposed in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market. He was pulled up on soft ground at Kempton last time, having shown plenty if ability on good and good to soft going in in his first two starts this term. He’s also likely to make the running, which could be a disadvantage if he migrates towards the inside rail where the ground is usually slower.

Recommendation: Oppose AWAYTHELAD in Fontwell 2.00
