Brimmer & May School and Mass Rivals forward Bryce Dortch will announce his college decision on the 247Sports Channel next Tuesday, June 13th, at 4:30pm ET.
He will choose from among a group of three finalists in Rutgers, Temple, and Virginia Tech.
Dortch spoke to 247Sports national recruiting analyst Dushawn London last week about all three of his finalists.
Rutgers: “They had a presentation from Coach Pikiell where he said the school is a good fit for me and how I would be able to play. He wants me as a two-way wing who they emphasize on defense. He really likes my length and emphasized that as a big strength of mine along with my upside. He said he’ll play me and let me play through mistakes if I were to commit there.”
Temple: “They’re another team that plays hard. I like how the new coaching staff emphasizes versatility and they have a swagger to them.”
Virginia Tech: “I like how their wings handle it and they emphasized that to me.”
Dortch is a long and mobile hybrid type forward. He’s exceptionally fluid for his size, particularly in the open court, and also a threat to put the ball on the floor. Those physical attributes also give him a notable upside on the defensive end of the floor, where he should eventually be capable of guarding multiple positions.
