SILVER CREEK – The Silver Creek Seniors met on Nov. 14 with 23 people in attendance.
President Sally Conover opened the meeting with the Pledge to the Flag and all singing “God Bless America” Chaplain Pauline Flitt read “A prayer for Peace/ in the Family.” She then welcomed the honorable Phil Hall, Hanover Town Justice who swore in the elected officials for next year.
Pizza, jellos and desserts were on the lunch table. Door Prizes were won by Joan Militello, Annette Hoeber and Harry Suski. The 50-50 winners were Don Hoeber and Eleanor Lemiszko (twice). Wheel of Fortune winners included Janice Snyder, Becky Fancher, Sally, Gene Chesbro, Pauline and Al Wilson. Janice called bingo and the winners were: Gene, Pauline (3 times), Harry, Norrah Carroll, Eleanor, Janice and Joan Suski.
Next week the group will celebrate Thanksgiving with a catered turkey dinner and pies, with a donation of $5 per person.
The meeting ended with all singing “Young at Heart.” The Silver Creek Senior Group meets every Tuesday at 1 p.m. Anyone over the age of 62 can attend. Call Lorrie for information at 716-934-2170.
