Crain’s reports that a package of loans that includes one connected to 40 Wall, the Trump Building, a 1.2 million square-foot, 72-story building. From Crain’s: “With cash flows deteriorating, this week Fitch downgraded a portion of the security holding 40 Wall St.’s mortgage from an investment-grade BBB- to BB, which is a junk credit rating.”
MITCHELL GOLD + BOB WILLIAMS CLOSES
The longtime Soho furniture store Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams has closed and the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in early September, less than two weeks after it ceased operations of its 27 retail locations and its North Carolina–based manufacturing facilities.
