She started sharing content during the pandemic

In a June 2022 interview with Naples Daily News, Ponton revealed she started posting to social media regularly in early 2020 out of boredom during the pandemic. Her initial posts featured workout routines and “cute beach content”.

“One thing led to the other, and all of a sudden, I found myself with this beautiful audience that I have,” she said. “I guess people loved it, honestly.”

She almost quit social media

As Ponton’s online presence evolved, so did her relationship with social media – but not always in the nicest ways. “There are hundreds of thousands of people saying things to you that are not very nice,” she told Grazia when the magazine interviewed her at the age of 19. “For a while, I didn’t want to do it any more because I was like, I can’t handle people being mean to me 24/7.”
