LOCK HAVEN — A new, woman-owned small business is opening its doors in Lock Haven.
Located at 800 E. Bald Eagle St., Lock Haven, RTG Solutions is officially ready to accept clients and schedule services for you.
Sarah Getz, president of RTG Solutions, runs the business with her partner and husband, Robert Getz.
“(Robert) is the hardest worker and it’s always been his dream to have his own business. He’s really good at what he does. He has good leadership skills and he’s compassionate,” said Sarah.
Robert has been working in the commercial roofing industry since he was 18, now having decades of experience in the field.
Sarah’s role in the business — while Robert takes care of the jobs — is to take over the books, take care of the marketing, attending meetings and scheduling jobs.
Sarah has also recently enrolled in the Leadership Clinton County program and has already learned so much. She highly encourages anyone interested to also enroll and experience it themselves.
“I’m going to come to work every day with my best friend. We won’t work side by side all the time, but we’ll get to work together and build something,” said Sarah.
The pair have been together for 13 years and have two children together, Mallory, who is 8 years old, and Leah, who is 11 months old.
The team at RTG Solutions is dedicated to providing top of the line services to their customers, and has the ability to work both as a prime and subcontractor.
RTG Solutions is capable of all phases of roofing, from new construction and re-roofs to preventative maintenance and emergency leak calls. The team has experience working with nearly every roofing material on both flat commercial roofs and steep slope roofs. They are also able to work as construction managers and through local relationships, work as a prime contractor with specialty trades working alongside them.
Their physical location at East Bald Eagle Street is still under renovation, but they’re available to assist customers right away.
Their website, rtg-solutions.com, offers descriptions on what differentiates them from other businesses in and out of the area.
RTG Solutions is an NCPA (National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance) Vendor. NCPA is an OMNIA Partners Company which is a leading national government purchasing cooperative working to reduce the cost of goods and services by leveraging the purchasing power of public agencies in all 50 states.
“Because the contract has already been publicly bid, it meets all purchasing requirements which allows public agencies to streamline the purchasing process and because the rates are government approved, they know they are getting a fair and reasonable price. It’s a great way for us to have partnerships and keep jobs local,” said Sarah.
They’ve also recently had their HUBZone certification approved. This program fuels small business growth in underutilized business zones with a goal of awarding at least 3 percent of federal contract dollars to certified companies each year.
RTG Solutions is committed to community involvement, with working out of a HUBZone they aim to provide careers to neighbors, have a positive impact on the economy and give back to the local community.
Because of the kindness the family has seen and experienced through the community, they hope to one day be able to give back. The Getz’s are looking to the future with their business.
“We want to be able to offer something to our kids. We want to be able to teach them what it’s like to push for their dreams and be a hard worker,” said Sarah.
“We have a lot to learn. There’s people who have been in business for as long as we’ve been alive. We love to talk to people who have their own businesses and learn from them,” said Sarah.
They’re hoping to have a ribbon-cutting sometime in early 2024 when all renovations to their building are complete.
