ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WTVY) – The third annual Enterprise Fire Department golf tournament raised nearly $7,500 during the one-day event, the City of Enterprise said in a statement Monday.
“We are overwhelmed by the success of this year’s tournament and the support from our community to help raise money for our community risk reduction efforts,” Fire Chief Christopher Davis said. “The funds raised will go right back into Enterprise to help with fire prevention safety and education.”
The tournament, held at The Bridges at Tartan Pines, saw over 20 teams participate. Morgan Casey, Colton Yarbrough, Freddy Batenburg and Robert Brooks took home first place.
Money was raised through tournament play, sponsorships, games and raffle prizes.
Davis thanked the players, volunteers and staff who made the event possible. “It was truly a team effort that will certainly benefit our entire city,” he said.
The Enterprise Fire Department’s goal is for every home within city limits to have a working smoke alarm. Those in need should contact Central Fire Station to request free smoke alarms and installation if needed.
