AUSTIN, Texas – The highly anticipated Super Bowl matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs has fans buzzing with excitement.
But the question on everyone’s mind: who will come out on top?
What they’re saying:
Whether you’re rooting for the Eagles
“Go birds,” said Eagles fan, Joe Stewart.
Or the Chiefs.
“Chiefs” said Chiefs fan, Siamak Bakhtiarpour.
Or neither team
“I’m a Cowboys fan, so it’s hard to root for the Eagles. I’m not a big Chiefs fan either,” said Sebastian Noriega.
Some have a lot riding on the game, placing bets like Stewart.
“Hopefully, I win some money. My girlfriend’s over there, so I’d rather not say, but a fair amount,” said Stewart. “If they do win, I’ll buy everybody here a hat or something. A ‘Go Birds’ hat.”
Others are interested in the game for different reasons.
“Commercials are always good fun. But yeah, Kendrick Lamar would be cool to watch. Who knows who’s going to be on stage. And it’s always fun to see little surprises throughout the Super Bowl too,” said Beau Eidson.
No matter where you stand, there’s no denying the impact the two teams have had this season.
The Eagles are fresh off a dominant NFC Championship victory over the Washington Commanders.
Now, back in the Super Bowl with one of the best defenses in the league, hoping to win it all.
“Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley. He’s great. So far feeling pretty good,” said Stewart.
The Chiefs, with another impressive season, punched their ticket with a win over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship game.
They’re looking to become the first team in NFL history to win three straight super bowls.
“I think the Kansas City Chiefs are going to hit it. It’s going to be three times in a row, and it will be great. They’re going to make history. And then maybe they might go four times. You know, you never know. So, I think it’s been great,” said Bakhtiarpour.
No matter the outcome, it’s clear that Super Bowl LIX will be one for the history books.
Don’t forget you can watch the game right here on Fox 7.
