Fridays have been added to the rest of the January schedule for 1/ST’s coast-to-coast Pick 5 wager, starting this week with races at Gulfstream Park and Santa Anita.
Since Santa Anita opened last month, the wager has had an average pool of $103,107. The average $1 payoff was $2,647, and payoffs have averaged an impressive 2.64 times the parlay.
This week’s sequence begins with race 8 at Gulfstream, post time 4:05 p.m. EST. It continues with race 3 at Santa Anita, race 9 at Gulfstream and then races 5 and 6 at Santa Anita.
The coast-to-coast Pick 5, which also is offered on Fridays and Saturdays, has a $1 minimum wager and 15% takeout.
There is no consolation payout, with a carryover if no one selects all five winners. Computer-assisted wagering play is excluded, with the wager available only to retail customers.
