Three New Live Broadcast Events!

Disc Golf Network will provide live coverage of all 24 regular season events headed into the DGPT Championship this October in Lynchburg, VA. We’re also covering not one but two All-Star events this year (learn more) and THREE new bonus tournaments. Here are the details: 

1️⃣ DGPT Play Championship is back! The DGPT is hosting three regional events with a Championship at the end of the season. This will be included in both the Standard and Pro subscription packages (learn more in our announcement)

2️⃣ PDGA Pro Masters Words makes its live coverage debut. The Network will cover the final three days of competition at Blue Ribbon Pines, with live broadcasts exclusively available to Pro subscribers. 

3️⃣ The European Disc Golf Championships will also be broadcast exclusively on DGN Pro. This is an invite-only bi-annual competition of Europe’s best players taking place in Norway this summer.

Other Media Updates for 2025

In addition to announcing our live coverage plans for this season, we’re also making a few updates to the DGN platform and where it is distributed.

Expanded Distribution with Yle, Telia & Delfi

To expand the reach of live broadcasts and make disc golf more accessible to the growing European market, the Network will collaborate with Yle – Finland’s public broadcasting and news source – to make coverage of the 2025 PDGA Pro World Championship free to access for all Finns. The Network will also collaborate with both Telia and Delfi, two major European media distributors, to co-broadcast full coverage of the European Disc Golf Festival.

One Stream With All The Action

This season, the Disc Golf Network will provide coverage of both divisions on a single continuous live stream each day, beginning with the FPO pre-round analysis and ending with the MPO post-game wrap-up. In between broadcasts, the Network will provide a live look-in at a featured hole with stationary cameras on the course. Separate VOD replays of the FPO and MPO competition each day will be available immediately following the conclusion of each round. Turn on the stream at the start of the day and let it run for the whole round!

Press Conference Schedule
In coordination with the DGPT Player Council, the Disc Golf Network has adjusted its press conference broadcast schedule to focus exclusively on the most prominent events. The Disc Golf Network will hold press conferences at all DGPT+, Playoff, and Pro Major events in the U.S., plus the Supreme Flight Open, which opens the season in two weeks.

In Europe, DGN will offer press conferences at the Konopiste Open, the European Disc Golf Championship, the European Disc Golf Festival, and the PDGA Pro World Championships.

DGN Basic Updates

Last year, Disc Golf Network offered fans a subscription option called “DGN Basic,” which provided PDGA members a slate of free content throughout the year. PDGA members could get DGN Basic for free simply by connecting their PDGA and DGN accounts. DGN is continuing to provide this free access to PDGA members (PDGA Basic) but has discontinued the sale of that subscription type for new subscribers without a current PDGA membership.

Continued Commercial Break Free Round 1 for Pro Subscribers

DGN Pro subscribers will continue to enjoy round one of every DGPT event and PDGA Pro Major without commercial breaks! Pro subscribers will have access to an exclusive live stream during round one that does not include any of the DGN’s commercial breaks. Instead, it will feature a live look-in at featured holes on the course with a scoreboard, similar to how NBA TV provides in-arena streams instead of commercial breaks to its premium subscribers.

This commercial-break-free stream will still feature the in-broadcast promotions (lower thirds and special activations) brought to you by our partners and will only be carried live. Pro subscribers will have access to the standard VOD replay of round one with complete fast-forward, rewind, and pause functionality.
