BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – It’s been one month since New year’s resolutions were created, and many may find themselves faltering in February especially when it comes to health and fitness.
Cycle Station Co-Owner Jon Childers says most of the challenge is getting to the work out and the rest of it is making a full commitment to not only yourself but to a friend by telling them your intentions.
Childers says he writes things down to solidify his goals, and that it’s important to start with realistic goals before pursuing bigger ones.
“Start small in the sense of well, this week I’m going to cut out this and make better choices about this, the next week I might do a little bit more sometimes,” Childers said. “We are discouraging ourselves by making those goals that are too big.”
Childers also says it’s easier to get your workout out of the way in the morning to avoid the roadblocks like errands or work that might pop up throughout the day.
