With a score of 6.47, Christopher Mitrevski’s final jump wasn’t his best, and instead of landing in the sand he walked his way out of the pit.

That means his second attempt was his best, but not enough to qualify for the final, ranking 18th overall.

Liam Adcock’s three attempts followed the same pattern, with his second being his best and his third not matching up to previous jumps. He came 26th overall.

Greece’s Miltiádis Tentóglou will be one to watch in the finals.

His first attempt of 8.32 put him at the top of the leader board, since he surpassed the qualification distance, only needed to perform one attempt.
