PRATTVILLE, Ala. (WSFA) – A Prattville woman has been arrested on charges related to stealing from a high school football team, according to the Prattville Police Department.
The Marbury Football Booster Club reported in September that over $30,000 had been stolen from their bank account.
According to police, Melanie Morrison, who was the club’s treasurer at the time, transferred the money to her personal account over the course of 2 years through various transactions.
Morrison is charged with first degree theft of property. She turned herself in to authorities Monday morning and has since been released on bond.
