QUINCY (WGEM) -Yesterday, at Westview, QND held their annual fundraiser. An event they’ve been doing for over 15 years.
One hundred golfers hit the tees to help raise money so the QND golf program can be funded for this year’s season. The money goes towards hotel expenses, food, and golf gear for the team’s season.
Head Coach, Brian Hendrian, says it means a lot that the community came out and showed their support.
“It’s basically how we pay for about everything. You know, like you said, golf is not cheap, you know the golf balls, shirts, hats, and we have a lot of travel, a lot of overnight stays more so than other sports. A lot of hotels and food on the road, it’s not cheap, so it’s great to get the support from not only the businesses and the current team families, but also the alumni and the school as well.”
