Abdul Carter is one of the top edge prospects in the draft. Carter has been on the NFL’s radar since his phenomenal freshman season. Carter was a defensive weapon for the Nittany Lions. Carter wore number 11 like so many great Penn State linebackers before him.
This year, the 6-foot-3, 250-pound unit is playing defensive end for the Nittany Lions. The true junior has amassed 14.5 sacks in his career so far. Carter has an unbelievably quick first step. His first step speed rivals Micah Parsons and Myles Garrett.
Carter is excelling with his hand on the line of scrimmage. Carter has the strength to set the edge at the point of attack. He’s ferocious in the run game and loves crashing inside to hit a running back.
Carter is one of the top prospects in the draft class. He can be an elite pass rusher in the NFL. His exceptional quickness and strength imbue him with incredible power. He also has the rare ability to bend around linemen. His favorite move is Von Miller’s ghost technique where they dip underneath the lineman’s punch.
Carter would be the ideal pick for the Browns. They could use another star defensive end to pair with Myles Garrett. The Browns are currently shopping Za’Darius Smith around the league. The Browns could get much younger at the position in the draft.
