Michiganders who live been Akron, Ohio and Ann Arbor should keep their eyes on the sky Saturday because the famous Goodyear Blimp will be passing over as it makes its way to Michigan Stadium.
The airship, Wingfoot Three, is scheduled to hover over the stadium to provide aerial coverage of No. 17 Michigan football’s 2024 Big Ten opener against No. 12 USC that starts at 3:30 p.m.

Be on the lookout again after Michigan and USC complete their matchup, because the blimp will eventually make its way to Cincinnati to cover “Monday Night Football” when the Bengals play the Washington Commanders in the NFL.

Wingfoot Three is the newest of Goodyear’s three airships. It’s 246 feet long, which is 82% of the length of a football field. It can reach a top speed of 73 mph.
The blimp is currently on a 3,200-mile tour of the country that will include overnight stops in 11 cities as it helps cover football games this season. The tour ends at one of the blimp’s bases in Carson, California.
