The ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, scheduled in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) between February 19 and March 9, will see eight of the world’s top cricket nations battle for the coveted title.
The Champions Trophy 2025, to be played in a 50-over-per-side One Day International (ODI) format, will see Pakistan host their first major global cricket tournament since the ODI World Cup in 1996.
The ninth edition of the ICC Champions Trophy will see the eight best-placed teams from the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, including hosts Pakistan, play 15 matches.
Former world champions Sri Lanka and the West Indies did not qualify for the upcoming Champions Trophy.
Both India and Pakistan are in Group A along with Bangladesh and New Zealand. Group B consists of Afghanistan, Australia, England and South Africa. The top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals.
England were the first team to announce their 15-member squad for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 on December 22.
Rohit Sharma will captain the 15-member Indian cricket squad while the Australian cricket team will be led by Pat Cummins.
