Ocala golf cart parade celebrates 96-year-old videographer’s birthday
OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) – A videographer in Ocala is now the one in front of the camera.
More than 45 friends participated in a golf cart parade outside of Len Tietler’s home in Oak Run to celebrate his 96th birthday Monday afternoon. Tietler has been capturing and editing video for his community of over 35,000 in Ocala for more than 30 years, and is known to his friends as “Mr. Video.”
Friends and neighbors brought Tietler cards and gifts. They, of course, stuck around to sing Happy Birthday.
The parade was organized by Teitler’s friend Randie who works with him.
Teitler said he was speechless when he stepped outside.
“I see them more often than they see me when I’m doing my editing,” Teitler said. “Now seeing them here, I have no words to express myself.”
