BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – (KBAK/KBFX) — September is Healthy Aging Month, a time to celebrate and promote healthy aging.
The month is less about slowing down and more about “Still Going Strong,” according to a campaign done by the CDC. The campaign was designed to encourageolder adults to take simple steps that will allow them to continue the activities they enjoy without fear of injury.
Today, Eyewitness News took a stop by Chuze Fitness to get some tips on how people can stay active as they age.
This month Chuze Fitness is also promoting a new challenge titled “Self-Kindness September.” Each week in September members will be given a new task to encourage self-kindness.
